Previamente haviam sido selecionadas oito ginastas para o camp final, que foram: Nia Dennis, Madison Desch, Rachel Gowey, Felicia Hano, Amelia Hundley, Lauren Navarro, Emily Schild e Megan Skaggs. Dentre essas, as escolhidas foram: Desch, Gowey, Hundley, Schild e Skaggs.<\/p>\n<p>Segundo Martha Karolyi, coordenadora da sele\u00e7\u00e3o americana, a decis\u00e3o foi un\u00e2nime e a inten\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 que as 5 ginastas ganhem experi\u00eancia com a competi\u00e7\u00e3o para as ajudarem nos treinos de sele\u00e7\u00e3o para o Mundial. As outras 3 ginastas que n\u00e3o foram selecionadas s\u00e3o as reservas da equipe caso seja necess\u00e1ria uma substitui\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Tenho motivos para acreditar que a sele\u00e7\u00e3o pode ter sido feita com base na not\u00edcia da les\u00e3o de Rebeca Andrade. Com Rebeca representando o Brasil e competindo contra essa equipe, seria poss\u00edvel um ouro no individual geral e, num dia inspirado, a final por equipes seria acirrada.
